Southeast Meet in Seabrook

Tomorrow evening - Thursday March 12, 2015

Southeast Houston Riders will be meeting at Boondoggles pub and grill. They make some killer pizza and have dozens of beers to choose from. - I do not recommend drinking and riding/driving.

Weather is looking terrible so if its still raining at 5pm tomorrow evening, the meet is off. If its lets up a little earlier I expect to see your pretty face.

Here are the details.

Join us for a weekly sportbike gathering. Enjoy some food and drinks while getting to know other local riders and plan for future rides and events.

Where: Boondoggles in Seabrook
When: 730pm Monday March 9
Why: because its what we do
How: on your two wheels of freedom

WHAT IS BOONDOGGLES??? - Boondoggles is a pub. They serve great pizza, sandwiches, and other foods. They have many different types of beer to choose from. A lot of meet at Boondoggles for group gatherings. I have been here many times and it's a great place.

Psh! If it's raining, cage. The owner hates bikes, anyway. EMTAggie and I went by there a few years back hoping to use it as a regular SE meet spot. We were told to off, since "bikers scare regular patrons away." Didn't matter one bit to them that we were going to have 20+ people there on an off night. We were trying to get a group of 50+ to show up on bikes on a busy night and order nothing but water. Couldn't get enough people committed to the cause, though.

Let's encourage them. We should make a weekly meet there and see what they do. I don't know what kind of meet he holds. If they are the stretched, Rev limiter hitting, idiots it won't go well but I have a feeling that's not the case. Hang out on the patio and make the servers day.

Same night as the Jeep meet @ Jackies. Wonder how they would feel about bikes AND Jeeps clogging up their parking lot?

That plan only came up after we found out he didn't want bikes there. Before that the plan was to show up and spend money every week.

MH meets are usually mix and match. The only discriminatory gatherings can be rides, and that depends entirely on the pace.

Guess I won't be going back to Boondoggles anytime soon. Shame...

They turned down business based on the patrons' mode of transport. Doesn't matter who you are, you just don't do that.

That's cool man, you do your thing. I'm not trying to suggest that other people shouldn't go. I just don't agree with that business practice, so I'll spend my money elsewhere. It's not like there's a shortage of good food and beer around that area. I'd rather go somewhere that I'm not seen as a nuisance.

Maybe they meant head bikers that wear vests and cause issues

I doubt that pinball put it to them like it was going to be a bunch of douchebag biker bros. I'm not butthurt at all, like I said I just don't agree with the business practice so I'll go elsewhere. It's no inconvenience for me to do so.

Six of us were there on our bikes. No heads or vests in the group. We even told them we'd most likely keep it to the patio because of the smokers, but the owner was pretty clear that he didn't want ANY bikes in his parking lot. I think I've only been back twice since that happened.

That place has some great food and I love the atmosphere in there. I used to eat there at least once a week when I lived right behind it in El Lago. Just meet there, eat, bs and have a good time. I've ridden up there tons of times and didn't have any problems.
