Houston Texans QB Ryan Fitzpatrick traded to New York Jets

Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has been traded to the New York Jets, according to reports.

ESPN reports the Texans received a late-round conditional draft pick in exchange.

The news comes one day after the team officially re-signed QB Ryan Mallett.

KPRC 2 Sports reports the Texans continue to actively pursue former Browns QB Brian Hoyer, who is in Houston to meet with team officials.

Fitzpatrick went 6-6 for the Texans last season.

Second-year QB Tom Savage remains on the roster. The Texans traded Case Keenum to the Rams on Tuesday.

Check back for more on this developing story.
