Report: Houston Texans' Jadeveon Clowney bitten by D.J. Swearinger's dog

Houston Texans defensive lineman Jadeveon Clowney was bitten by teammate D.J. Swearinger's dog last week, according to a report.

Sportsradio 610 reports Swearinger's pit bull bit Clowney on his arm on March 4. The report states Clowney went to a Pearland emergency room for treatment.

Clowney was the first overall pick in 2014, but the rookie was limited to four games last season due to multiple injuries.

He had surgery in September to repair a torn meniscus and damage to his articular cartilage. He had arthroscopic surgery on the same knee after being injured in Week 1.

Clowney then played three more games, but continued to struggle with pain and swelling in his knee.

The 22-year-old underwent microfracture surgery on his right knee in December and might not be fully recovered in time for the start of the regular season.
