I was around when u had first posted this too, but hardly posted then. ur 30000miles is an impressive ride. u shld put up at least a blog on that.

my longest ride is 716 miles thru hill country in 16 hours of continuous riding..on the R6. it wasnt really that tiring though. i m thinking i ll just do the ironbutt ride one of these days lol j/k!(for those who dont know, its 1000 miles in 24 hours...see http://www.ironbutt.org/)
done a few more 2-3 day, 800-1000mile rides.. but no LONG long ride yet...someday...

Ah...how far, Lets see, I rode a lot, 26,000 miles alone on my GSXR1000 in the first year of ownership. I rode several 1000 mile weekends while in the hill country. I rode 360 miles almost every weekend on the west side of Houston with the TSBA. I rode all the way out to Deals Gap, NC in 10hrs 36minutes. It was 996 miles one way and that was just getting to the Gap itself. I was wore out and then had to ride the Gap (11 miles) to the hotel (Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort). All told, that weekend I had ridden 2500 miles and I had it all logged on my Garmin GPSV for proof since I knew I would have neigh sayers. I even sent Cyclegear Almeda a post card from the hotel when I got there. I believe it is still there in the back room on the pegboard somewhere unless Eric took it with him. When I sold the bike this year, it had almost 60,000 miles on it. I was a riding fool. I look back and I am thankful that I got to ride at so many places. Life is too short to make excuses not to do something…just follow Nike’s saying and JUST DO IT!

Have done 500 mile days but that is about it. Clocked around a 1000 in a single weekend. Maybe I will feel up to doing something like that again. I would love to take off across the country like you did.

I couldn't tell you exactly how many miles I rode. but for 2 weeks in thailand I rode from pattaya to chiang mai... then back to pattaya and while around the "country side" for about 16 days. If I had to guess, I would say I rode about 1.5k miles. Not as much as you fellas, but that was my first time riding so I couldn't get enough. :icon_bigg

I rode up to Dallas by myself once. I stopped once to fill up with gas in Huntsville then rode straight there.
