Cop in the video says it's a HD. Also says there's a beer can in the street that they believe came from the bike. They'll do toxicology tests.

RIP.... Really sad to hear about another fallen rider. Everyone who's riding today, be safe. It happened before 5 am, so maybe he got off of work and was returning home?

I guess the other guy was just unlucky then...

How's the road on your side of town? Not too bad?

610, 288, 59 and the connecting ramps were just fine at 70mph this morning

I was thinking maybe SUV came into riders lane. That road is narrow and dark at night.

There's a left/right dogleg northbound there, and a LOT of people are taken completely by surprise that the road is not laser-beam straight like most of Houston. Big Jersey barriers, yellow signs, etc and people still manage to go off.

I pulled it up google earth and the image from 10/14 shows the guard rail had been hit in that same spot. This reminds me of the crash on memorial about 3 years ago where the rider ended up in Buffalo bayou. Probably hauling and then got surprised by the kink in the road.

RIP rider

that's like 2 min from my house. Its a divided road 2 lanes each way. The kink is not that tight and the speed limit there is only 30 or so.
