honestly,

I would atttempt to get a hold of other forum owners (who are much more <insert: authoritative, wise, established, enjoyable>)., and I would be a little more diplomatic about the situation.

The chat section is made to have an OFF topic discussion or chat.. It already doesn't show on the main page. You don't have to click on it. If it gets way out of hand like it did today(for some odd reason), they get deleted. It's simple.

From my perspective, this is a "Motorcycle" forum FIRST.

Clayton,
I for one like the edit button for it's ability to insert something in a thread that I may have just remembered. Just because you don't use it doesn't mean that others of us shouldn't.
Also, although I know that you pay attention to the rules, unfortunately not everyone else does, and a lot of us are getting tired of reading the b/s.

Crystal,
In case you didn't know, long before you were on here, Chat WAS a subforum of Off Topic and the post whoring wasn't that bad.

The reason why I say NOT to put any posts from the chat section on the new posts section, is that way those of use not interested in "Chat" don't have to wade through 18 new threads that are B/S to find one that is semi Moto related.

If the change is made anyone who wants to postwhore, can go right ahead without the rest of us even having to know about it.

My 2 cents.

My 2 cents.

I was on this thread before the the excessive posting became out of hand, thank you. But what your telling me is that you want to be able to find something in the chat section that is also moto related when the rest of the forum is all moto related. Then tell me why you post in the political section if this is moto first. Maybe we should only use that section to discuss laws dealing with moto related issues... It's chat for a reason and there are titles too. If it doesn't have a moto related title, don't click it. Just keep scrolling. Just my .02.

+1 Patrick

Though, when I don't feel like wading thru BS, I just don't open the 80+ pose threads....
course when I do, I add my useless 2 cents in also.

Edit was cool. No edit is fine too.

First and foremost, I come on here to read about Motorcycle stuff....

Now don't think this really bothers me because I could care less what the moderator's decisions are. I just don't like hearing people complain about little stuff... It's not hurting anyone. You don't have to pay for it. It's little stuff. Next thing I'm going to hear people complain about the colors of the forum.

Correct!

Crystal,
I'm not trying to be combative with you so please don't misunderstand me.
I'm not talking about this thread but the way the forum layout in general was in the past, I was unaware whether you knew of the old layout.

I'm not above posting in Chat or other forums, that's not what I'm saying. I'm simply offering a possible solution to all of the b/s on here lately, one that it appears some other people support as well.

Also, just be

HOW ABOUT THIS...
Make two chat sections; One for moto-related chats, and one for post whores to chat. Leave it as a small little link to click on that way it doesn't bother anyone.. Yes? No? Thoughts?
