Breakdown/recovery service

I'll be going touring this year, probably going out of state too. Can anyone recommend a good breakdown/recovery service i.e. one that has flexible options, performs acceptably and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

I briefly looked into it a few months ago, didn't find much.

Not sure if it's the same thing but I got roadside assistance with progressive. Only had to use it once and their nearest tow truck was going to take three hours. Ended up getting towed by another tow truck and regressive reimbursed me the tow... Reimbursement too about a month.

Apparently they cover parts (not labor) for the repair and trip interruption if you're far from home. Not bad for the price.

American Motorcycist Association has a roadside assistant plan that is included with the membership.

Two that I've been considering are
1. AAA Premier Membership
2. BMW MOA Platinum Membership

AAA has a lot more coverage, but more expensive. $20 to join, $105/year.

BMW is less expensive and has less coverage. $79/year It doesn't matter what brand you ride.

good luck
