Source: Houston Texans to release center Chris Myers

The Houston Texans will reportedly say goodbye to a second longtime player as NFL sources tell KPRC 2 News the team will release center Chris Myers.

Just two days after the Texans granted permission to wide receiver Andre Johnson to seek a trade, sources said the team will release Myers.

The move frees up more cap space before the NFL free agency period begins.

Myers has been in the league for 10 seasons, spending seven years with the Texans after he was drafted by Denver out of the University of Miami.

Stay with Click2Houston.com and KPRC 2 News for the latest developments on this story.
