We'll see if other chime in...but for those of you that had.

what was your general treatment/relationship with your siblings...

As a younger child...did you often want to emulate the older, or you wanted to follow and be with/around the older.
As the older child...were you protective and watched over the sibling.... or ignored them, tried to get away from them.

(I know both are liekly to happen at different time/periods/ages etc..but general predominance. Or keep in mind, semi-special times/occasions. Ie: Taking a younger sibling treak-or-treating etc).

2 younger brothers, 1 older brother and 1 older sister

Didnt really argue to much with them or have alot of disputes to remember really aside from the common bickers and fights that come along with having multiple siblings.

Except the fact that my older brother and sister tried to get me to eat mud pies alot....

They used to dress me up like a doll when I was a baby, and NO it did not catch on later in life! They treated me well, but as I said before, my parents assumed that they could raise me the same way as the girls. I was the only kid in the fam. to get spankings and grounded, and stuff like that. Even so, I was a very straight kid growing up and I still am. I think they were harsh on me, but I am glad it was that way rather than them being lax and just letting me get into all kinds of trouble. I have a good solid foundation to build the rest of my life off of. (i'm 22 now). Sorry for the rant, hope it helps.

I was spoiled rotten until my dad left, then things changed. One of my older brothers used to be really mean to me so I would bite myself and blame it on him so he would get his hiney spanked, I had one brother that I was really close to but he passed away in 1987 now my only siblings I talk to are two of my brothers from another mother.

Ok... so if you were asked yo walk your (younger) sibling to school...or to a store in the mall etc
...or you were told your elder sibling was going to walk you somewhere...

Or a more..relevant one, what if you asked your sibling if they wanted to walk somewhere with with you...(or you were the younger asking if they wanted to go with the elder).

What would you do if the younger sibling had problems keeping up... would you jsut tell them to be more careful and continue on at your own speed pace leaving them to their own?

...as the younger, would you go at your own pace as the elder go further away. Or would you call for their attention, try to hurry up a bit so you didn't lose them?

...the point here, is to stop and think. Hard...
instead of siblings, think of it as parent/child, child/parent situation.
