I've done this 3 times...will not be $300 if you do it yourself...probably around $150...easy process, you get a checklist from the DMV and just follow it...all state will bond titles as well as geico..

If it's so easy, the seller should have done this already. It's a lot easier to sell something with a title (even if salvage or bonded) then it is to sell something with no title and my friends cousins uncles former roommate said its easy to get.

It kind of raises a red flag to me when the seller doesn't have a title, but tells a buyer it's easy to get. If it's so easy, go get it and I'll buy when the paperwork is done.

Not everyone gives a about a title...a Vin check in the u.s. database of stolen vehicles, photocopy of sellers i.d., and a bill of sale works for me.

Have you tried to do a bonded title? How do you know it's not easy???

All it takes is a phone call and they will tell you if is bondable.
then you....
go to dmv
go get bond
go to taxes office
get title.
takes about 30 minutes extra. I know because I've done about 7-8 at this point.

I agree that the seller should do it. That said I bought a bike with no title from a guy I had bought from before. He is in Law Enforcement and assured me the VIN was clean. Got the bonded title. Would have been easier if the people at the DMV knew what the they were doing. I would never buy a bike without a title unless I knew beforehand one could be gotten.

And that's fine. My point is, if it's so easy why didn't the seller get it. It would be a good selling point to have a "clear" titled bike vs a bike that is unknown.

This ad (that's now deleted) said he just bought it without a title, now selling it without a title at a fairly low price and "Easy to get a bonded title". Ok if it's easy, go get it. Could be legit, dunno. Looking at it on the computer, can't tell.

The only thing I had to get a title for was an abandoned boat and that was more up than a football bat.

No title but it is a "daily driver?"
