So you're extremely flaky, back out at the last minute, show up late for events and work, sometimes don't show up at all to the point where people are fed up with it?...There's an app for that!

I heard they had an app for alcoholism and drug addiction too

My inlaws are always late to , it's annoying as , like thanksgiving dinner, christmas, EVERYTHING. Even my wife will tell me "I'm here, can you help unload groceries?" I walk outside and say, "No you're not, I'm standing outside" and she'll say "well, I'm in the neighborhood" to which I reply "so you have another half mile to go and then you will be ""here"".

With the inlaws we just tell them the meeting time is 30min to an hour before the actual time and the still manage to be late from time to time.

I honestly thought I was being constructive. Developing an app that already exists that could easily be used for the chronically late. A mans word is all we have, and making an app that enables that behavior isn't a good idea. IMO

Actually being serious, it does sound like a useful and cool app. I'm rarely late but I drive a lot and it would be good to keep people updated as to where I'm at.

I could see myself using it on the car and the motorcycle...Not sure I would pay for it, but I'm a cheapskate too so I'm sure plenty of people would buy if it was less than 5 bucks.

, if you need beta testers let me know

There are tons of apps that are very similar to others, he might can make a niche for him self, who knows.

I personally use Glympse as everyone knows, but . Give him a break!

I just bought a Sena bluetooth set for my helmet so that in the event that I'm running late, I can push one button and tell it to dial my girlfriend and let her know. Or vice versa. Bonus feature: I can push one button and then say my destination and get turn by turn directions. I don't use it often but when you're headed somewhere unfamiliar and miss a turn, it comes in handy.

You've got a good idea with the app, but there are several that do it already and to some extent there's existing support for this in iOS already.

This app probably would've helped when I met some friends for a ride in the middle of nowhere a while back. They where sitting in the middle of the road waiting for me for quite a bit lol.

Yeah, Sena works well. I can send texts too. I use that function all the time.

Once again, thanks guys. like I said, i was just getting feedback, i use it for myself, and a few close friends, and it worked. In fact, I was simply asking if it would have any real world use. I'm not that big into life apps, so i did not do any research, or anything of the sort. I just made it, specifically for me, now that I know it's clearly not wanted / needed then my question has been answered!

Thanks.

Yea this kind of constant trolling and negativity causes a lot of otherwise intelligent people that would like to comment to: NOT DO SO. Due to the fact that they don't feel like lowering their intelligence to the level that they would have to come down to, in order to make these neanderthals understand what they are trying to say. If that's possible.

So those types of comments hurt the overall amount of quality traffic to your site.

When you're in the middle of nowhere, chances are there is no cell coverage.

Just how technologically dependent do you need to be? I say that rather ironically, being that I work in R&D developing stuff that has never been done. Even then, tech should help you do thing otherwise difficult or impossible... not make up for difficiencies correctable by conventional means.

Apps like this seem like solutions in search of bad habbits. Make apps to help peeps correct then, not mask it as a fun activity.
