The 2015 Molot is a modified 2013 CBR.

Why are they messing with (or messing up, in this case) Hondas? They already own Ducati.

Chak Motors owns Ducati?

I think what he was referring to was this first paragraph from the original link...

Lamborghini has been doing a lot to keep the company standing out from the various competitors and with the financial backing of Audi they can do so. From the crazy concept vehicles like the Urus and Egoista it is easy to see that the designers are trying new things. With Ferrari and Ducati now under the same ownership of Fiat we can see why Lamborghini would want to show a little skill in the two-wheel department as well.
I'm pretty sure that what the author was getting at is that Ferrari and Ducati are under the same ownership umbrella, so it would make sense if Lamborghini wanted to do something with a bike to keep up. Further reading shows that this is in fact a Russian company's design.

Personally, I kinda like it, for a show bike. It's different, and (IMO) there's not a whole lot interesting about Honda design. Don't get me wrong, they do performance and reliability just fine, but I don't think I've seen a Honda vehicle that had an appearance I was excited by since the S2000 debuted.

If the author wrote the title of his article he's just looking for attention, oh, and an idiot.

The one thing that concerns me about that bike is the predictive braking...

Quote:
Predictive Emergency Braking System (PEBS) has been around on cars for a while, now it’s on a Molot. The system is specifically set up for a motorcycle, in those situations where a millisecond matters in braking. PEBS works in three types of common situations. Let’s say a car in front of you is coming to a stop, and for some reason you are not paying attention to that. First, once you get in to a minimum range zone, PEBS will send you out a warning, this will be a flashing light on your dash and a light vibration in the handle bars. If you fail to react, PEBS will send a maximum vibration and apply a small amount of pressure to your breaks, if you fail, PEBS will take control of your brakes and apply full pressure to stop the vehicle to avoid a collision. Giving that Molot has ABS you would not lose control of the bike. PEBS will also work in a situation where you do not have any time to react, if a car suddenly breaks in front of you, PEBS will apply full pressure to avoid collision. PEBS works with two radars up front, one short range and long range and an HD camera that is mounted in the headlight.
So the bike has the capability to automatically apply the brakes if it thinks you're going to hit something. That might be fine for street use, but can you imagine what that would do to you on the track? Or in the case that you had the bike leaned over in a turn and for some reason the bike thought it was time for emergency braking?

It's not a track bike. Do you know why so many Russians have dash cams?

I don't imagine it was designed for track use, but they apparently expect it
Quote:
There is also a safety cut off feature, Molot has a built in gyroscope, it detects any anomaly in vibration and control, which means when you enter an uncontrolled situation, Molot will disable throttle. (This feature can be disabled)
Another safety is a build in HD cameras in the front and in the rear, weather you are on the track or your bike is just sitting in a garage, cameras will record everything that will move, 24/7.
I love the spelling errors in an ad for a bike that's likely to be over $100k msrp (just a guess).

That article's author doesn't know his from a hole in the wall, so you are probably 100% correct.
