"CANEY CREEK ENDURO" 4/26/15

As many of us remember from years past, the Caney Creek enduro is coming back into the SHNF!

TRH is hosting the "CANEY CREEK ENDURO" in the SHNF on Sunday 4/26/15. They will be starting about 7am on Sunday morning from KELLEY's POND trailhead. They are planning on riding both east and west sides of the SHNF totalling about 56 miles for the race.

Talked with Lynn, and they are starting at Kelley's Pond, but mainly just racing on the EAST SIDE and heading back across the lake to Kelley's Pond to end it. About 56 miles total.

Yea I spoke to him this morning on my way out the door at work. He is headed out there this weekend to hang up the arrrows for the trails. I told him it was a swamp 2 weeks ago and it's probably going to be a swamp this weekend too! Hoping for a week of dry weather after this weekend....

Hey guys I'm looking at doing my first ever race would this be a good place to try out first? Kinda nervous, especially with the length of the race and gas stops and all as I'll most likely be by myself.

This race is cancelled!!

Gas stops are made at a stopping point anyway so you won't lose time refueling, they normally have a trailer to put your fuel on and they will haul everyones gas containers to the same location on the course for you.

It won't be a bad course to start on but, it will be more sand whoops than you could ever ask for.

Here is the official statement:

CANEY CREEK ENDURO HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY CANCELLED!!!!!!!

The Trail Riders of Houston Caney Creek Enduro scheduled for April 26th is canceled. Unfortunately, the weather worked against us making it impossible to spend the time needed to prepare for a quality event. TRH will begin issuing refunds at this time to those that pre-entered. Thank you to the riders that pre-entered Caney Creek and understand that we will be back on the TSCEC schedule in the Fall of 2015. Date to be determined. Check TRH Website!
