Added a new member to the family!

Well, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this little gem yesterday. She needs a little work, but it's a 2 stroke so it won't take much. Previous owner ran it 24:1 so there's splooge everywhere. Repacked the silencer last night, swapped air filters (plug was immaculate), added some new grips, changed the gear oil and cleaning the carb and chain tonight. Compression was a little low at 120, but I'm hoping that's due to a long life of rich mix being run through it. I'll button it up this weekend and run a 50/50 mix of 110 and pump with some Bel-Ray H1-R (38:1) and see if that doesn't clean her out. If not, then it won't take much to do the top end. Hopefully I'll get out and meet some of you on the trails!

Plus, the 2 stroke is a helluva lot cheaper to work on than a 4 stroke

I'm 5'7" and 145 lbs. It's "just" a 125, lol.

One of the main reasons I chose that over the 4stroke.

Well, after a week of jetting adjustments, new silencer, brake pads and fluid changes she runs like a raped ape. Can't believe this guy was running a 24:1 mix on pump gas with a 460 main jet and a 27.5 pilot. I'm convinced she hasn't ran this good in years. I ended up dropping the main to a 390 and bumping the pilot up to a 40. Running H1-R with a 50/50 race gas and 93. Ho-ly she rips! Had a good time today and everything seemed to come back to me like I never even got off the dirt (haven't been on a 2smoke since 2001). I can't wait to get out to some local tracks and perhaps the forrest, although those trails just don't look very exciting from what I've seen on YouTube.

I think the trails are 10x better than any MX track. The vids dont do the terrain and obstacles any justice

I saw those on CL, but I don'r care to have rock star all over my bike. I've found a couple kits online that have more of a OEM with an aftermarket flare to them, but I'll trash the ones I have first, lol.

Now if you had some plastics we might be able to deal!
