I used to have a FZR600. I always wanted to give the 400 a shot.

First bike was an FZR600 and I loved it. That's a cool project. If i had disposable income I would be a possible customer.
Good luck with the project and future sale.

I have had three FZR400's and keep going back and forth between them and R6's'. I am definitely a Yamaha guy. I am always looking for another FZR400 and have decided that I need BOTH a 400 and the R6!

Do the R6 rear shock upgrade. Its easy and you get a way better rear shock.

'06/'07. And its the shock for the "S" version. Google FZR400 to R6 shock conversion. The post I used had step by step instructions with photos. Helped my last Fizzer a bunch and way easier and cheaper than going strict after market. My second had a D&D can as well. Too loud until I sent it back to them for repacking. I repacked the Yosh on my third one myself. I keep looking for number four. Best bike I ever rode!

Just wondering. I saw some of the Barry Sheene replica stuff and it looked okay. Personally I would go with stock stuff.

You can but not too often. Unfortunately all my spares went with the bikes when I sold them. All three of them. What a dumbass I am!
