It's actually not due to pavement. It is a rule that the insurance company made that automobiles must be the first vehicles to use (ie-test) the track. It is the insurance company that will not allow motorcycles to be the first on the track for an organized event.

that's besides the point, we're just curious if its paved yet. considering we were down there a few weeks ago and it was still a dirt track.

There are couple of GSS people joined the board.
I'm trying to get them to give us more info about the track.

Both tracks were still unpaved? The trackday was to be on the 1.3 mile Mako track right?

I should also clarify that the insurance reason was what was told to Dave at Ridesmart by GSS. And of course the reason that bikes were going to be first is because they had to cancel car events due to being behind schedule.:BangHead:

I dont understand why everyone seems to "hate" on GSS, , why not be glad we are going to have one so close, and so nice?

They are building it, it will be ready when its ready.

Im having a meeting with Wade this weekend. Ill know more details.

"Decisions to just 'do things right at any cost' has long been the philosophy of David Zubick"

I have been on construction sites were cost was not a factor, so far from what I have seen it is the complete opposite. I will hopfully be proven wrong, I actually look forward to the day I am proven wrong and I can cash in on my 2 credits. So far I just did the work and thats it, writing my name on scrap paper as a record of who worked for credit does not make me feel any better.

As far as this thread all I asked was if it was paved, thats it, that all I wanted to know, yes or no.

will not 'hate' anymore.

Is the facility still open for people to go by there and look for themselves? I remember someone saying we could but I can't find it.
