Piaggio and Vespa scooters recalled
Defective fuel pump could cause the engine to stall or fail to restart
PIAGGIO is recalling a number of its scooters over a defective fuel pump.
The recall hits 2,613 Piaggio and Vespa scooters built from 2008 to 2011.
According to recall documents, the impeller in the fuel pump may swell, decreasing pump clearance, which could cause the engine to stall or fail to restart.
Piaggio and Vespa dealers have announced they will replace the defective fuel pump with a newly-developed component.
Models affected by the recall are:
MV Agusta issues recall over faulty swingarm fixing
Continental recalls 170,000 tyres
Over 50,000 BMWs to be recalled
Victory recall 2444 machines over faulty electrics
