Hmmm... seems like that track favors the litre bikes, hahaha.

I want to ride this one! Pikes Peak just doesn't do it for me.

Re: We live in the wrong state???

Colorado has some cool tracks as well as some of the most awesome roads. Pure sportbike heaven. Lived there for a few years off and on. Only 3 downsides;
1) Because of the thinner air most 1000's perform like 750's.
2) Cliffs / mountainsides; most of the roads have no guard rail or run off. Mess up and you eiher become part of a mountain or try to learn to fly!
3) Winter; the riding / racing season is roughly only 6 - 7 months long

BTW Pikes Peak is pretty cool, no real straight aways and 10 corners in 1.3 miles make it a pretty challenging course.
Steve, Second Creek does look cool, sorta reminds me of Cresson a little.

Re: We live in the wrong state???

they say motorsports ranch houston will be here this fall and we'll be racing NPR next year so from what I understand theyare cutting down the TWS (Texas World Speedway) race days so it'll be better.

Re: We live in the wrong state???

Several things limit tracks in Texas, but the primary ones are; insurance and neighboring communities protesting the tracks and implementing "noise ordinances".

Re: We live in the wrong state???

If MSR Houston really becomes a reality, and I hope it does, it will add another much needed quality track to Texas.
Oak Hill, although a sentimental favorite to some, is well over due for either a major face lift or closure. Issues like no concrete paddock, no bathrooms / showers, no electricity, as well as the track can't really handle the speeds of the bigger bikes, make it's future dim.
NPR is o.k. and they've taken steps to address some of the safety issues. I look forward to us racing there.

I don't mind the big HP... people can use it as a handicapper if they want. I just think my riding style works best for the long hard fast corners. It's tough moving this 6'4 frame all over the bike, back and forth like is demanded at tight tracks.
