Street riding story

I woke up this morning being thankful to be alive. Last night I couldn't relax and didn't feel like going drinking.... so I took the bike out for a spin. Yes, I was riding on the streets but nothing crazy at all. I don't think I ever hit 90.

I started off going up shepherd to memorial into downtown. Left downtown and hit spur five then figured heck I'll just cruise to the west side and see what's happening. Ugh change of mind nothing out there so brilliant idea to go to TC/Galveston area to see a friend.

Get to my buddies undisclosed place of business and chill for a bit. 2am rolls across so I head back to town. A few miles on 45 N I realized I left something at the undisclosed location. SO turn around and head back.

I'm cruising around 70-75 (actually 80 i'll be honest)in the middle lane(very light traffic) back towards Galveston when I approach an over pass all of a sudden a blue Ford F150 is heading North in the southbound fast lane

I wasn’t hit but I just about crapped in my pants nonetheless.

Now for kicks. Imagine if I had been on my previous bike (06 750) what do you think the scene would of been like. Simply put it would of been bad very fuvking bad

I'm not going to tell you (pardon my French) **** the STREETS but rather watch it the streets will **** you!

Be careful out there guys since more than likely if something goes wrong out their at speed or not your not really in control. Gear and all wouldn't have saved me last night.

Glad you missed him...I have had that happen several time around the country. One question...Why do you say if you have the 750 the story would be different? I guess I missed something.

, thats pretty scarry.

slightly off topic, but what color is your bike bigcomfy? I may have seen you on the streets this past weekend (saturday). I saw a guy on a sv650, all hooligan'd out headed north on 610 west loop near the Galleria and I-10.

My 750 used to bring out the best in me(pun intended) and would of been traveling at a much higher or at least higher rate and more than likely in the left hand lane.

The SV is yellow atizzle but I was way way way to hungover to be away from my couch on saturday much less riding lol.

Glad you didnt get hurt and i hope that drunk fool paid for it!

Drinking + Driving = Stupidity!

At least i would assume the drive was drunk. I doubt anyone would drive on the wrong side of the road for fun.

"2am rolls across so I head back to town." - another reason not to be out riding at 2:00 am due to the high percentage of drunk and impaired drivers on the road at that time.

You were lucky and glad you were.
