well, I'm glad she was not more seriously hurt because based upon the accident description she sure could have been and it was only dumb luck that kept us from reading about another death.

I have to ask - why was she out riding at 3:00 am when there is a high percentage of drunken and impaired drivers on the road?

As for this statement --> "I'm sure Xanthia knew exactly what she was doing when she decided not to go last night." - I disagree, when a person is in an accident that involves the head they are rarely in the right mind to make the right decision about medical care. Those with her needed to take charge and make that decision for her.

ps not mad or anything but that is how it works. If I took her to the hospital and she refussed help then what ?? She has that right to do so

J

We tried everything except dragging her by her hair. I told her that I would take her last night and chill with her since i'm off today but she did not want to go. I think it's cause the adrenaline was still pumping so she felt a little bit of the pain but not the whole effect yet. But I knew she would go today after she woke up and the pain really started to set in.

Jetg - if she went home and died in bed because of an internal injury then what?? Yeah, she has that right also.

As friends, you have to MAKE the person know you are doing what is best for them in that situation. I agree she is an adult but sometimes friends have to step in and say "listen, this is what's best for you now - so lets go.."

Edited after reading previous post - you tried - others listen up and what SHOULD have been done.

IF you hit your head at a Trackday event, it is Mandatory now that you take the ride to the hospital, NO is not an acceptable answer. It should be this way whether on the street or the track! We all wish you well X, please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your experience any more comfortable.

I am just glad at this point that if this happens again. I will be more prepared to say YOU ARE GOING. I have tried my best to do my best and I guess last night it was not enough, cause I do see your point, and well taken.

Thanks

I am not going to pass any judgement on the FRIENDS that were with her last night on thier descitions that they made, but I will say that when something like this happens your mind and body go into shock and really can't make those descitions for yourself, that being said all you guys should know how headstrong women can be and if she did not want to go for whatever reason it was at that point her choice to take her life into her own hands and blame should not fall on those who were trying to help.

Yea I looked at the pics her bike looks like an english bull dog I can't imagine how she was able to walk away from that. If I had saw that bike on the news I would have automatically assumed the person died. She must have some really cool gaurdian angels looking out for her
