Just heard a report on KTRH and Dave was commenting that he did not think is was a good idea. KTRH did not even give any details about the way the law is written. I suggest calling OD and giving him an earful and the ktrh news room and going to there site and commenting on the story. Anyone who wants help out with info on this is welcome add.
without investigating further and just going by from what I know of OD on the radio......he's an idiot. Always has been. That's one of the dangers of people on the radio/tv or anywhere they are given an audience to blab to.

[QUOTE=TigerGenetics;3864234]I heard that on the radio this morning. Sounded like they cherry picked OD's statements, but he did make a good point about how people around here really can't drive and don't care to use blinkers or even look when changing lanes.

Everyone thinks there drivers are the worst in every state, same with people using their blinkers its not just Texas

The face palm moment was when Matt Patrick (That guy is a total douche nozzle) chimed in with his "witty" remark that "only one other state allows this....I think you can guess which one that is....California", as if because California allows it then it MUST automatically be a terrible idea.

Well...has anything GOOD ever come from California?

Well, when the dudes from Erik Buell Racing were in Houston giving test rides, during the riders meeting the rep said, "You riders in Houston have some big . We've been all over the country and Houston drivers are by far the worst about signaling and having their heads buried in their phones. We're going to ride faster than usual not because I want to, but because I'm scared".

Bad drivers looking at their phones is an argument for lane splitting. I would much rather get smashed side to side than front to back.

I say Houston drivers suck and these guys were on a nation ride tour organizing test rides. You realize you must use a hands free device in Austin, right? Texting while driving is big part of the problem

Exactly.
Every city I visit, when you talk to locals it's "we'll I bet your drivers aren't as bad as the ones around here!"

Orlando has the worst driver's I've seen and guess what? They're from various parts of the country. A melting pot of drivers, so to speak...in other words, nobody can drive.

Just because somethings illegal doesn't mean people wont do it anyway.
Same thing with splitting, people still do it already even though its illegal
