Outlaw Dave against lane spilting

Apparently he's not the side on lane spilting

Just heard a report on KTRH and Dave was commenting that he did not think is was a good idea. KTRH did not even give any details about the way the law is written. I suggest calling OD and giving him an earful and the ktrh news room and going to there site and commenting on the story. Anyone who wants help out with info on this is welcome add.

I guess he's entitled to his opinion.
While I'm personally in favor of splitting, you have to acknowledge that there will be high profile accidents caused by it.
That's going to make some people say it shouldn't be allowed.

I'd just like to have the option to assess the situation for myself and have it legal if I decide to go for it.
Sorta like the helmet law. I like that it's legal if I choose to go without.

Does anyone find it odd that this is getting so much press when Malorie's Law didn't make the news until it was in effect?

Don't see how any accidents would be higher profile if they are at 20 mph. Motorcycle fatalities get about 15 seconds of airtime as it is. Outlaw dave sounds like a right douchebag.

That depends on how much traffic they're holding up

lol one line that has no context. Burn him at the stake!!!!!! Doesnt seem like his personality to say no to something like this. Maybe you should call his show and find out what he really thinks, before you throw him under the bus. OD does tons for the moto community, not to mention let a bunch of hoodlums from some crazy moto forum hang out at his place lol.

Are you really getting that worked up over one little comment. They will be higher profile, because as you can see the media hates this idea. So you can bet your whinny any lane splitting accidents will be prime time.

Then why are the articles slanted?

Quote:
Two bills have been filed in Austin to allow bikers to weave in and out of traffic under certain conditions.
Really? C'mon. There was another article earlier this week that included a vid of a bike hauling between cars and used it as an "example" of what these bills would allow.

perhaps it's ignorance and lazy reporting rather than 'bias'.

Because, as long as it's illegal, people won't do it, right? Wait...

Not calling you out, just pointing out the idiocy of an article using an example of someone breaking the law to show why the law should be in place. It clearly doesn't prevent anything, why not allow it and thus regulate how it's done, rather than forbid it and watch it happen anyway?
