place to teach someone to ride in the tomball area?

So I got my girl a RM 85. I need a place to bring her so she can get use to riding around. Anyone know of a place in the Spring/Tomball area that is fairly open that I can bring her to ride around without any police interference or anyone off?

There use to be 3 or 4 places, but in the last couple of years have all gone away in Tomball area. You can pay the track fees and ride around them or head to Kelley's Pond area in the Sam Houston National Forest, we've taught a bunch of kids to ride there. It's only about an hour from Tomball.

RM 85?

Did you take out insurance on her or something? That is a seriously bad choice for a first ride.

David75 (David from the Cypress meets) has a little property off 290. I bet he wouldn't mind you practicing over there.

Gotta love all the opinions that aren't asked for on motohouston. This isn't her first bike. She's ridden in places most of us will never have the chance to see. That being said she hasn't rode for a few years and I personally would like to see her ride around in an open area before we hit the trails. I'm very well aware of the power band on a 2 smoke as I ride one myself. She is very well aware of that also. Thanks for all the input though it is most appreciated.

There is a huge open field at 249 and the beltway off of Cutten Rd. Has some little hills and stuff. Pretty big area. I've never ridden there but it looks to be mostly surrounded by business parks.

Remember that goode bar-b-que where you went to the cypress area riders meet back in the summer?
There's a vacant lot right behind that and a huge, open field on the end of that side road if you follow it until it dead ends.

even a place where you can park the trailer...

Eh I just haven't been feeling it. I've been riding to work a lot but not really getting together for meets.
Seems like I'm either working 10/11 hour days seven days a week, or if I'm not I have other things I need to get done, time I should be spending with the ol lady, ect.

Got a 28ft sailboat I've been working on too, so that has been sucking up a lot of my free time.

I plan on making it out to more meets/rides this spring/summer

Off topic but what kind of boat did you get? I miss mine. Used to have an older C&C that I kept in the water in Clear Lake. Been wanting to get another but I live on the Northwest side of town now and it's a haul to Clear Lake.
