who is riding the pilot road 4s?

I have done a ton of research and they all say how great they are in the rain and how long they last. But very little on how they do in this texas heat. What do yall have to say about them. Think im going to get them for my aprilia. What do yall think?

Dragged a little knee here and there on RR on them, suprised about how much grip they have. If I were to buy a brand new set of tires itd be pr4s.

Gotta be longer than the PP3's. I get 6-8k out of a PP3 rear on a 550# behemoth. Everything I've read says the PR4's are almost as good in grip, and superior in the wet and longevity to the PP3's.

Have 2 buddies that run them. 8-10k on a rear and they have never slipped on either of them. I run the PP3's but that's going to change here shortly.

Have You ever tried the Pirelli Angle Gt Tire?
I have had 2 full set of them but need a new rear soon, and have been debating whether or not to get another angle or try the PR4.

As for miles on the angle gt, the front i can get about 8-10k miles, and the for the rear i got about 7500 miles on the first one, but the current rear i have on now looks like it wont make it past 6k( pretty much commuting miles, so its flat)

Nope never tried the angel gt. Came from a few sets of s20s and loved the grip. Just not the lifespan

rockymountainatvmc.com usually has the best tire prices anywhere unless someone is having a blowout sale.

I usually have Patrick & Company install them at Motorcycles Unlimited. And it's going to be a lot cheaper if you take them the rims off of the bike.

Cycle gear is probably the cheapest, but you have to take your wheels to them. Our sponsors will pull them off the bike for you.

More important to me than price is quality. I'll pay a little more for Texas Yamaha to install my VStrom tires since their machine is touchless. Haven't been to the Almeda Cycle Gear in a while, so I don't know if Lonnie still works there. That dude can remove and mount tires and never touch a tool.

You know off the top of your head how much they charge if I bring the rims? That's a long drive for me from Freeport.

Eh, then I wouldn't bother with that type of drive. Check with your local shops in the area. I believe it is about $50 OTD (labor, weights, valve stems) at Motorcycles Unlimited, but I could be wrong. I installed the last set in my buddy's garage as he has his own setup.
