All I saw was that Pirelli destroyed them all. 3 seconds faster a lap and most confidence inspiring!

I am surprised the Michelin got rated so low.

The quoted msrp on there was not even close to accurate. I'm not sure of any set of pirellis thats $600. I believe they are $390-400 from John at P1.

Motorcycle Superstore has them on sale for $394.98. They claim MSRP is $622.50. Pretty sure P1 is not selling them at MSRP

Pr4's are more geared towards longevity than grip. Heard good things about them but never tried them out.

they are awesome, i wish i wasnt so scared to try "sport touring" tires earlier. I would have saved a lot of money, the tires gripped a lot better than I expected them to. pushed them a little and even got my knee down a couple times on accident but they gripped great for me on my street r6.

That's because "S" stands for "suggested" and sellers realize they won't make a sale at that price when MSRP for other brands is lower

They ran this test last summer when oil prices were higher. Tire prices may have dipped since then along with sales this winter.

I'll add another awesome review of the Rosso ii. I race on them for lightweight endurance. They lasted a whole tracl day plus a 6 hr race and then some. Great traction and put my knee down the first time with these tires.

They ran the recommended pressure or 32 f 30r, but I agree listing them in the article would have been nicer than making us search for it.

My 5 min search yesterday still showed msrp being 350-400 for a rear tire. Wonder why Pirelli keeps the msrp so high, there has to be tons(more than normal) of mark up.

Come on man.
Quote:
tire pressures were set according to each manufacturer’s recommendations. Continental, Dunlop, and Shinko didn’t submit a recommended pressure so those were set to our internal suggested baseline of 32 psi front, and 30 psi rear.
From the article we only know what 3 brands were set at, the ones whose manufacturers gave no recommended pressure

That's what I just said, if you want to know go to the manufacturers website and look at the recommended tire pressures.
