Bike of the month winners

I saw this months winner and got me to thinking.... Could we have the winner post about how it got the bike to the condition it's in. Meaning... Did he build it... buy it... did he build it in his garage or send it out to be done.... and so on...

The Feb. bike is pretty bad A$$. would like to know more about the creation of it.

Anyway just a thought.

** I started a new thread so I would hijack the Feb BOTM thread

Thanks. Its started at 3 sisters with a few of the guys sitting around a camp fire and I said man I want to build a cafe racer. One of the guys pulled out his phone and found a 360 on Craigs list about 1 mile from my house. Two days later I was walking down the street with a bike that made my neighbors laugh at me.
The bike sat in my garage for about a year. I would walk out side mess with it and get side tracked for about a year. Gary( dude wheres my bike ) even made a joke that I would find other projects to work on just to avoid the cafe.

After about a year I took it over to Cycle Sports in Clay road. Those guys are bad a$$ at what they do. Ken and I went over what I wanted it to look like and off we went. Some where along the line this thing went from building a nice bike to an amazing bike.
frame off restoration. Engine had compression so we didn't do much with that. Dunstail tank and matching cowl. (wife made the logo on it) exhaust made from gemcote. *sp. I fought with ken about the electronic tack but ended up going with it. any other questions feel free to ask. Ill try to post some picks of the build.

I think we need a full blown thread about your bike and others. Pics and all.

Very nice build.

You are right down the road from me. I'm at 15 and Durham.
I'm about 10 houses away from SPJST lodge.

By chance I stumbled across your bike while looking for Mark Shim the other day. i thought the trail tech vapor gauge was one of the coolest touches cause of the minimlist profile, keeping the front low, and the info it provides. The rest of the bike was flawless. My only gripe was it looks like the front is 1 inch too high. Ken was like, well buy it, and then drop the forks an inch, dumbass! So, I posted on your facebook to buy it, lol. Sweet ride, very well done, and Ken has an eye for proportions that most, well almost all, cafe racer builders lack. Super cool bike dude!!!!!

can you even stay up that late anymore???
BTW, I saw a early 90's ZX-4 (IDK if that's what they actually call them) I think it was in San Antonio.... that would be a great mix of the ysr you started on and the ZX7 you rode.
