Looking at the picture, it seems as if the rider would have not made it thru the accident. Not sure if I read the story wrong or if i missed something along the way. But did the rider actually pass away?

The story says, "Life Flight landed and flew Garcia to Houstonís Hermann Hospital in critical condition."

Looks like inexperience got him. He probably instinctively turned the wheel right to avoid, and the bike went left into the truck.

RIP and everyone watch out for cages!! We're invisible!!!

Not always. The guy who was racing with a guy on a Daytona, who died last year on Hwy90, got negligent manslaughter. The bike had clipped his car, according to the news, and he got charged.

Correction (hate not having that edit feature):

criminally negligent homicide

http://www.khou.com/topstories/stori....33bb9599.html

I guess the cage's driver only gets charged if it itself acted in an illegal manner?
