Biker survives crash with MiG27 fighter jet
Not your usual SMIDSY
A MOTORCYCLIST has miraculously survived after being hit by a piece of aircraft when a fighter jet crashed into a nearby field.
Loon Singh was riding to a village just outside of Barmer, India, to hand out invitations to his wedding when a MiG-27 crashed into a field and he was struck by a part of the jet.
The 26-year-old walked away with only minor burns and a fractured hand.
According to the Indian Air Force, the jet had been on a routine flight from Jodhpur to Uttarlai air base when it crashed. They added that the pilot was able to safely eject before the accident.
The Air Force has launched an inquiry into the crash.
