The property is fenced in so that gives you an idea of how much land there is and some change.
Why do you ask? Interested? I can hook you up.

As for hooking me up, considerning I have my real estate lic I think I could hook myself up pretty good. As for interested, I wonder what the balance sheet is at the end of the year. What kind of revenue does or doesn't make, all it takes is a solid business plan and something that is already profitable to make it happen. Does anyone know if any other race orginizations have looked into purchasing this facility ???

J
You will probably have to get on the phone to start getting anymore information. Not to many of us are looking to invest 12 mil this year.

I'd sell off some of the land and make the rest much like MSR-H is set up. Private garages, memberships, plus offering trackdays, etc.

ps sorry didn't mean to mess anyones thread
If you can get info on the books and there is positive revenue being generated that would allow a return on the investment in a decent period of time I am sure the money could be put together.

As an FYI I worked the Ridsmart trackday yesterday and asked Dave Wonders what he knew about the future of TWS (Texas World Speedway) and he thought that the most likely scenario would be that it would be bought by a car organization/club and it would continue to be used like it is now.

The cost of building a new facility & track that long would be way more than the asking price.

With all the tracks popping up everywhere, it is hard to see how all them are going to make it. But, w/ the increasing interest in trackdays & motorcycling, perhaps there will be some competition and reduced prices for track rental? We could only hope.

I think most of the new ones are being funded by members. :dontknow:

True, but for them to make money they still have to rely on rented events. And so far in Texas there is, TWS (Texas World Speedway), MSR-H, MSR-C, Grandsport Speedway, Oak Hill, and Eagles Canyon Raceway (opening soon in Decatur), a car track in San Marcos (that may host bikes someday), and I've heard rumors of some very wealthy guys in Austin wanting to build one just east/northeast of Austin, and of course the very expensive Liberty Motosports Park that is still to be built as well.

Granted it's great to have many tracks to choose from, but I'm just curious how it might pan out in the long run that's all...
