Report: NFL finds 11 of 12 Patriots footballs were underinflated

According to a new report from ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the NFL has found eleven of the twelve footballs the New England Patriots used in Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship game were underinflated.

Mortensen's report says the eleven in question were missing two pounds of pressure-per-square-inch.  NFL regulations require the to contain between twelve-and-a-half to thirteen-and-a-half pounds of pressure.

Under-inflated are said to be easier to throw and catch, especially when the are wet. The Patriots-Colts game was played in a downpour.

The report reveals the league is looking into the matter and the Patriots are cooperating with investigators.
