Its very simple, the problem is finding a spot for the ballast. I'm having trouble where to put my ballast on my 954.

Hate to be the one party pooper, but I have to steer you in the right direction. Not doing so, will, well just make a me a bad person. If you decide " you dude, I'm doing my own S#it" after seeing the light, then all I can say is, I tried. Cheers.

IMO save the money and install some PIAA bulbs. Mine are as bright as my buds HIDs.

A big +1 on that. Yeah it is the 'fake' HID but for the money and work you have to put in the bulbs are the way to go, but it is up to you. I will never do another HID on a bike. Boy those lights were awesome though, gets lots of attention and compliments.

i use to have 8000k on my old bike. pretty simple to install but just very time consuming. i mount the ballast on the inside of the fairing right by the radiator with some double sided tape. and be very careful i shock the out of myself during installation.

h.i.d....DO IT! drill a small hole in the middle of your light cover so you can cover up the wires. Make sure you leave extra wire on both side so you can turn...

HIDs are the most bad thing you can do. Though, i can't stress this anymore, but
DONT DO HIDS UNLESS YOU HAVE PROJECTORS.

I will hate you if you do, and so will everyone else in front of you.

If you don't have projectors then retro some in. It will cost more and be more difficult, but it's a lot of fun, and you wont regret it.

Here is a free tip for all of you [buy ballast with built-in ignitors] It's just easier to route the wires. I'm not aware of HID kits that come like this, but you can get away cheaper if you buy them off ebay or www.hidplanet.com
