has anyone ever rode on a "striped" road?

i have done it a hundred times in my truck, drove down a road where the stripped the pavement off of it to redo it. tonight was the first time ever to do it on the bike.... if you have done it then you will understand, if you havent be very careful, it SUX !!!!!! i went down this road at night and it has a sharp curve posted at 15mph, it scared the outa me....

done it here a few times, one time was also at night, come out of a curve and there it was. dont hit the brakes.

Yeh, I hate riding over it, if the grooves are deepwide enough, they can really be a problem

I did once in mississippi and it made my bike track almost all the way to the other side of the road, I just rode it out as I could see the end up ahead. was a short patch, probably 1/4 mile or so and I was doing approx. 70 when I hit it.

There was a patch of I-45 like this by North Main. It was an *o chit* moment for sure..
Not as bad as riding through mud though. Street tires and wet mud dont mix

Hahahaha...yeah i got that from my brothers front yard. He had some fill dirt to level his yard and I hit it and slid into his driveway.. Thank I have raced dirt and knew how to stay up

i raced alot of dirt.. but my heavy as street bike + bayou + street tires.. i lasted about 5 min without going down. :laughing6 then went back for more and kept it up. i caught a tank slapper and then the back end got caught in a rut.. i was good until the front got caught in a different rut and the sport bike wont turn like a dirt bike, i ran outa turing room and highsided. :laughing6

Yup, the grooves are deep and kinda grab your tires if the road is bad enough. It sucks but dont panic and just keep it steady through there.

yeah, hwy3 was undergoing some construction several months back and had patches of stripped roads all up and down it. sucked.
