Re: how was the trackday?

James- Good trackday, unfortunately for Allan, he crashed right after, I believe, the second session in the afternoon. I don't know the details, but Andy had to leave early from his cornerworking spot so they can have Allan checked out.

I took a 10 min. on-board vid of 1 of my sessions and some pics while cornerworking right:

Sorry we missed you there bro., I didn't have a good subject to shoot pics off on wheelie hill, hehehe. See you at the next one (?).

Re: how was the trackday?

just talked with alan, he is ok, at home resting it up.

he says that he was going thru T11 and highsided, you know those R1's have all that power,, Porschito!

well he has some rash on his elbow and hip from the road impact, a bump on the head, also from the impact, messed up his leathers and the Aria, bike is messed up only on the left side, broken upper, tail and, rear set,, seems to be in good spirit so, when he gets back we can pick on him....

Was a good day, overall.* It was HOT.* But fun.* Brad (BubbaRRay) and I were able to run some pretty consistent 2:03 - 2:05 laps.* I'm beat today.* Feel like I got the kicked out of me!*

On the last sesssion, I almost highsided there, too.* It bucked me pretty good up in the air and I was able to ride it out and barely went off the track.* * * Came back on* in T12, threw up my left hand and called it a day!

Re: how was the trackday?

Lots of fun but blazing hot! The session before and after lunch where the best.... after that the track started getting greasie and causing the tires to get loose if you got throttle happy. The session right before lunch Andy and I had a great time... I chased him around the whole time but he didn't know we could pass on the inside in B group because that is how I got him on the last lap. * After lunch I had Brandon from Motorcycles Unlimited set my tire pressures and the bike was handling even better so Henry and I went out and had a blast. Then I pulled off by myself to work on a few things in T8 and T9.... although I think Henry smoked the left side of his rear tire trying to cathch me in the back field. * It was a blast and every body out at the track was cool except we were all sweating from the heat. *right:

Re: how was the trackday?

there were a lot of C group riders going down at the end of each section and it was not fun waiting in line in at temperatures above 90's. other then that i was very happy with my lap times i did 1:59 which is the lowest i had ever done, i might be able to shave at least one more sec may be next time. i'll be getting my cmra license on july 2nd. hope to everyone there right:

Re: how was the trackday?

I have had some close calls on T11.* Last track day I slid the rear coming out of the turn and even though I was in control it scared the out of me cuz I had never done that.* That could have easily turned bad had I panicked.*

Hey when I go to LSTD I ride in B also.* A is all about speed, ive ran with them a couple of track days.* I still have a few more things to work on (brake points for one) and I can do it better in the B group.* Everyone is slower and I dont have to worry about being attacked.* Not like it bothers me but I feel like I can work on my techniques better in B.** *

I dont think running 1:57-:58s is too too competitive but I know I can cut that time down a little come race time.* I will get my CMRA license July 2nd.* I will race formula, SS A and SB A.* I think 3 races for starters is ok.* right:* *
