Texotic Motorsports.. WTF?

Came across this place because they absolutely FLOOD craigslist with ads. Figured I would check out the site to see what they have (I was looking for a 08-10 zx10r)

I notice they have quite a few "zx10's"

First zx10

2010, 3800 miles, they want $8500 for it

00s0s kGb1zZAsFeP 600x450

That's right, the ugliest paint job, pep boys exhaust, cut up brake lever, etc.

Moving on..

Theres another 2010 "zx10"

Oh, wait... something looks odd about this one

Used 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 for Sale 220x220

Not sure how these guys are still in business. I guess there's enough ignorant people in the area to keep businesses like this afloat. Looks like they took pictures with a 10 year old camera phone, theres no description at all on some of these bikes, some of the bikes aren't what they say they are

All of that is bad enough, but it takes to ask $3,000 (Plus TTL ) for a 06 Ninja 250.

Yeah man, stay away. The one or two times I've called them about a bike on CL they had no idea what they were talking about or they had to put me on hold to " ask the owner". If I'm going to over pay for something, I'd rather do it at a dealership where they at least know what model of bike they're selling.

This is why they have high prices.

What's the big deal? A business trying to be a business and make money.

Nope, l think making money is the first thing learned in business 101. But when you are advertising a motorcycle you have for sale as the wrong model there's about 1,000,000 things I can think of that would raise a red flag.

Now, when the model clearly has z1000 on its fairing at that point I don't feel like you're worthy of taking even the poorest, most ignorant persons money. Maybe it's my bleeding heart, maybe it's because I'm a kawi guy, or maybe because I have the audacity to think that a motorcycle dealer should know what the they are advertising.

I think the "ZX10" is an honest mistake.

I guarantee you they have a person making minimum wage posting their ads who may/may not know about motorcycles. I see ads for vehicles mislabeled like that all the time.

Besides, if someone is so clueless they can't see that it's not a ZX10, they probably would be happy either way anyhow...in fact, they may be happier with the Z1000.

As for the the pricing it's like others have said. It's "anyone qualifies" pricing. I'm sure if you went in with cash, you could get a significantly lower price.

And that means what exactly? That's when they walked their happy into the court house to register "Texotic Motorsports". That doesn't mean they've necessarily been doing business since 2007. Do you have any financials on them? What has their growth been year over year? What kind of volume do they push? How about a P&L? I've been selling swamp land since 1982, that doesn't mean I've been making any money doing it.

Just pointing out the fact this isn't their first month in business. Regardless of what you or I or the OP think about the people whatever they are doing is keeping the bills paid. Lets start a thread for every shad dealership or keep it in the sponsors section.

Exactly my point. Now tell me again what that "2007" statement says about their success?
