Indian Scout arrives in dealers this weekend
Entrylevel cruiser makes 100hp and is lightest in its class says Indian
INDIAN has announced that the new Scout is due to arrive in dealers this Saturday.
Costing £10,395, the entry-level cruiser features a 1133cc liquid-cooled V-twin making 100hp and 72.3ft.lbs of torque at 5,900rpm. It has a ride-by-wire throttle and six-speed overdrive transmission.
Weighing in wet at 255kg, Indian is claiming the Scout to be the lightest in its class. It uses a cast aluminium frame coupled with a low 643mm seat height, 1562mm wheelbase and 135mm of ground clearance.
Steve Menneto, Vice President of motorcycles for Polaris Industries, said: ‘Over the course of 30 years of countless innovations, racing wins, world records and industry firsts, the Scout earned its reputation as a versatile, multifaceted bike that appealed to just about every rider and every riding style, with superior handling, balance, performance and craftsmanship,
‘Our designers and engineers have taken that heritage and those characteristics and fused it into the 2015 Indian Scout, and we think just about everyone who rides this incredible bike is going to feel like it was built just for them.’
The 2015 scout is available in black, red, matte silver and matte black.
