I like my LED headlights, best I have ever ridden on a bike, better than my truck actually.

I just hate it when I'm trying to change lanes and you can't tell how far back the in the next lane over is because he's got jesus christ installed in his headlight housing blinding the out of all the sinners on the road with his white light.

He could be 1000 yards behind you and it looks like he's right on your and if you get over you would be cutting him off...forget about looking directly at them to judge the distance because it WILL burn a hole in your retina and render you unable to see anything in front of you for a full 30 seconds afterwards.

HID lights are right up there with rolling coal and it seems they go hand in hand with each other. Coincidence? I think not.

What's wrong with the stock headlights?

Seems like a lot of to go through and the only difference is you are blinding everyone.

Yes that's the answer. Find another job on account of some dip who has a super massive black hole for a headlamp because he thinks it's cool.

Brightness does not necessarily equal more throw. As far as visibility LED are brighter to LOOK at but don't necessarily throw more light down the road. Having you lights adjusted properly also helps. So many guys have their lights adjusted way too high. Aftermarket LED's may only be visible from certain angles. On my 636 I went with HIDs and flush mount signals and they were not that great. Ditched my reflectors to only to have it get run over while parked in a parking lot. Now, the EBR has an amazing set of headlights. I don't know if they blind people or not but they put a ton of light on the road! Nice white light. I've kept my stock turn signals and reflectors because I'd rather have my black bike be seen than be fashionable.

That sounds like a lot of bullshit over some headlights. What's wrong with the stock ones again?
You guys are making this way too complicated.

Bet that wouldn't have happened if you would've just left the stock bulbs in. Who knows, he may have done it on purpose

That's my point, the stockers are fine, but they need to be properly adjusted.

As for the reflectors, a lady came through the parking lot and ran over my matte black 636 claiming she didn't see it parked were it was. I had pulled the reflectors off because that's what all the cool kids do. Had they been on the bike she would have seen it and not hit it. So NOW my bikes have reflectors and who cares what the cool kids think!

I have done HID conversion and retrofits on just about all my vehicles. Chances are, I could past you and you won't even realize those HIDs weren't OEM.

There are good and bad kits... and good and bad installs.

If a POS car blaring rap music out of a distorted POS sub box, do you condemn all aftermarket car audio systems?

As for the LED kits, I just don't see how they could possibly work well in a headlamp system meant for a single point light source. No doubt LEDs are the future, but the reflector and heat dissipation are completely different. I would stick with HID conversion or retrofit.

Ok guys, let me just rephrase it so all of you hurt folks will get the picture. I'm looking to replace my HID's in their PROJECTOR housing with LED's. Projector housing, you get that? PROJECTOR!!! Now, since almost every single car over $15k nowadays has either HID or LED lights, it seems you now have issue with cars/bikes that have these two light sources installed in HALOGEN housings. I appreciate you all venting and , but this is the wrong thread... You really think you're complaining is going to change anyones opinion?
