Tests reveal Michal Hernik died of hyperthermia and dehydration
Factory KTM rider found with helmet removed and no signs of crash damage
POLISH rider Michal Hernik’s death at the Dakar Rally on Wednesday was due to hyperthermia and dehydration, tests reveal.
The 39-year-old was found 300-metres off the main track with his helmet removed and his bike showing no visible signs of crash damage.
The fatality occurred during the third stage of the rally, which runs a 410-mile route from San Juan to Chilecito in Argentina.
