sounds like you were asking for it with one sticker having been expired for more than a month. he shouldnt have wrote you up for the one that had just expired a day earlier, and maybe he wouldnt have had that been your only infraction.

cops are nothing more than revenue generators, you know they are just itching to write someone up, why give them more bait?

i rode my sv650 several times with an expired inspection sticker, had i been pulled over and ticketed, i wouldnt have had any right to about it.

I know what you mean, dude... some of them are just plain a$$holes! SERIOUSLY, I know. Your most recent case sounds like an uninformed rookie; ya' cant write a ticket on a one-day-expired sticker because of the grace period...

i think that 5 day grace period is more of a courtesy given than an actual law, an instructor in a defensive driving class once told me that you can be given a ticket for going ONE mph over the limit, so i am sure they can give a ticket for a sticker being expired by one day.

in some of these small towns you have to expect that from the cops, they gotta raise some cash.

cops get off on pulling people over for minor stuff because occasionally it will lead to a drug bust,or a dwi arrest, or someone with a warrant out for them.

i try my best not to give them ANY reason to pull me over.

i used to be a lead foot/lead wrist, but i got tired of throwing my hard earned money up a dead dogs .

I've been with Wade twice (here in Houston and once in Tucson) when he was pulled over while still wearing his scrubs, and both officers alluded to the idea that they didn't want to end up needing his help after him off. It was nifty getting off the hook, but , I'd never thought about the fact that cops, apparently, have to worry about off doctors/medical staff. :BangHead:

So instead of just having an ugly face transplant, you could try wearing scrubs. Have Dr. Unassailable stitched into 'em.:laughing6

Sounds like if you pay a little more attention to keeping your stuff legal, they wouldn't have a reason...

The old story of they like to pick on sport bikes, so why give them a reason?

registration is a form of taxation without representation(imo), we should go to boston and have a tea party.

I think its an age thing, I do dumb all the time, when the cops find out that Im not a kid, they just overlook small stuff.

Man some people are being mean on here.

How can the cop see all that when he didn't get the license plate of the bike? Clayton said that the cop was riding next to him. There are two kinds of cops when it comes to bikes. Some love them, and some absolutely hate them. Sean and I got pulled over going about 80mph and the cop talked to us for about 5 minutes and told us to be careful. Also on 45 one night with a group, a cop rode our and then cut us off.

You just have bad luck Clayton, bike and truck. :BangHead:
I'm a when a cop pulls me over. Last time he was rushing me and I told him he is just going to have to hold on for me to pull out my insurance. I took my sweet time looking for it just like he would probably take his sweet time giving me a ticket. I just got a warning after 5 minutes. I gave him a taste of his own medicine.

Well I will say the broken winshield (didn't know it was illegal) and the no DOT sticker are funkin RETARDED! BUUUUUTTTTT

All the others, techically you were illegal. I don't think I've ever complained about one of the many tickets I've gotten because I know I was speeding, had my windows tinted too dark, wasn't old enough to be driving by myself, driving without insurance, and many others.

All I can say is get your legal and pray for the best, cops truely are every once in a while, I always say "yes sir, no sir" and I think you should keep doing it, never know...I know I think its worked a couple of times for me...one less thing they want to see is a biker giving them attitude I'm sure.

Take it easy man, get a lawyer.
