racoon

so i have a pond in my back yard with some gold fish. everyday my dad goes out and feeds them. the other day he went out there and they ALL were gone. we talked to the pond place and they said a racoon or snake could have ate them. since then there has been a racoon in my back yard that we see every few days, it comes up on our back padio and eats our cats food. i open the door to try and scare it away and it just hisses at me.

is there anyone who catches and releases these for free?

i have a trap but once hes in there to tell you the truth im going to be afraid to open it. this is a mean little . i thought about just getting him in the trap and throwing it in my pond but i think i will feel bad.

any ideas?

Coons can carry lots of diseases and are general nuisances.
I've got a REAL quiet .22 that will take care of it if you want.

If you are gonna kill it be a man and kill it. Throwing an animal in a cage into a pond is really poor form.
Either that or admit you are not up to the job and get someone in that will. The idea of drowning a wild animal chaps my .
Course if you were joking then never mind.

I have no problem with you killing it, I would do it myself if I had to, can't tell you how many oppossomes I have killed. BUT DONT torture it, drowing is torture.

make it quick and move on, no big deal.

There's one that comes up to my garage at night. He doesn't care if I'm around or not he'll still walk up and look for food.

They're nocturnal so if you see him in the daytime then chances are he's sick - stay away from him.
