Let me ask you something Mr. HOV lane splitter(which I do too BTW. Hope your not mad at me)...is HOV lane splitting also "throwing a fit"?

How is that any different than me jumping into a practically empty HOT lane andcircumventing their BS toll device that doesn't even work?

I'm not using it during peak hours, I'm just not paying their tolls at a time when THEY say traffic in the lane is light enough for non-HOV traffic to hop on...

You're getting events confused. Thanks for bringing up something I've never posted about, though.

Let's face it; metro, HCTRA, the county officials, ect... are a bunch of crooks. If you don't believe that than they brainwashed the out of you and you are too far gone for me to snap your dumb /s out of it.
So go ahead, keep sitting in traffic or pay ungodly amounts of money to use a road that should be free...but don't hate on me because I found a way around it and you're still sitting there like a schmuck.
I don't sit in traffic or pay HOT lane tolls. Oh, and I never said they weren't crooks.

Not only do they refuse to build any new free roads, they turned EXISTING roads into toll roads...and you know how I feel about toll roads...
I'm going to refer you to this thread, we were have beaten this subject to a pulp already: http://www.motohouston.com/forums/sh...ght=free+tolls
If you're right and don't care what anyone thinks, then why spend so much time trying to justify your actions?

When I did split, it was only to keep from getting rear-ended in stop and go traffic. I had to hit the "shoulder" half a dozen times to keep from getting creamed before I started splitting. It was never about shortening my commute. When Metro reduced the HOT lane times, stop and go traffic went away. No need to split now.

I'm no saint, and I still do stupid . I'm just not on here detailing it for the world to see.

My mistake I thought you had posted it, but now that I think about it I think you told me(sorry alcohol)...shouldn't have mentioned it.

I don't sit in traffic or pay HOT lane tolls. Oh, and I never said they weren't crooks.
So what's the problem? They steal from you everyday and you're hurt because I'm not getting raped by them?

The same reason you continue to go back and forth with me even though you know it won't change anything. I like to voice my side of the argument...plus for some reason it seems to people off and I find that amusing.

Well, it's still illegal so I bet there's a ton of LEO's drooling all over some random dude on the internet openly admitting that they break traffic laws.

I will agree HCTRA is a bunch of money grabbing crooks

I spent almost $800 in tolls in 2013, not sure what I spent in 2014 and don't think I even want to know...

in the future, all new roads will be toll roads

Oh no Urban that's your fault for using them

Not too long from now you'll have to stay at home to avoid them and it will be your fault for leaving the house and using their road...

I used to do the sunglasses with a hat thing, but I found it more effective to just put the visor down so you can't see the face from the front...the hoodie obstructs view from the side.

I used the hat/glasses mainly in the summer time, since a hoodie raises a red flag when it's 95 degrees out...but now that I ride, I ditch the mannequin in the summer and hit the HOV on the bike.
