That happened to me, lol!!!
When I was a young punk, me and a couple buddies were driving around. I was in the back seat when the guy in the passenger seat pulled out a bag and started rolling one.
When he finished, he stuck it in his mouth while he rolled up the bag and put it away.

Just then he noticed a car right beside us and he turned to look to see what the other driver was doing. That's when we realized it was the popo and he was looking right at us.
We got really lucky. He made us dump on the side of the road and then he ground it into the dirt with his foot. We got a stern lecture and then to our surprise he let us go.

Maybe it was because we were saying yes sir and no sir, instead of fighting and resisting. I'm pretty sure it could have easily turned out different.

Guess you're right, lol!
Everyone involved was white. I'm thinking that if everyone involved was black the outcome might have been similar.
The point is, if you are respectful of cops, sometimes things work out ok.
If you fight with the cops it will NOT end well.

Well, I was making an assumption that a black cop would tend to be more lenient with black teens than a white cop.
We were, in my situation, respectful, cooperative and the cop cut us a break. (not suggesting that you weren't)
Maybe I was off base.

how about not hanging out in your car smoking dope. Usually the best way to stay out of cuffs. What a concept.

Im sure it was, smogging out a whole room in the house, is much more fun, and usually doesnt get you arrested.
Oh wait, he was arrested because he was black, not because of the illegal drug use.......
