Gatorade, Propel, lemonade, tea - just make sure you start getting your fluids in. The day of, you can drink all the water in the world but your body won't be able to absorb it on the spot. This way, your body is entering the day well hydrated and drinking water at the track will just maintain the hydration instead of having to catch up.

Did you get your bike running? you might check the engine kill switch on the right bar i believe, sometimes the contacts just get crusty, just try flipping it back and fourth several times may fix it if that is the problem seen lots of bikes towed in for this simple fix.

No need to be scared. You know how to ride the bike. Just remember to be SMOOOTTTHHH with throttle application and you'll do just fine. We'll all be out there helping you. Don't sweat it.

I'm one of the few that uses the kill switch every time I get off the bike.
The switch & contacts are good because when I flip it I can hear the FI whir like it's supposed to. I also tried starting it in neutral as well as in 1st and with the kickstand up & down in case the safety on that had gone bad.

And yes, it has gas in it!

if you dont like to drink water mix 50/50 with gatorade. first trackday should be about getting your body positioning down, next trackday is working on lines, then the speed comes.

buck is a cool as guy and will probaly wash away all yalls fears at the riders meeting.

Ok, I have been recruited as Brena's full time "Rent-A-Man" and will try to help anybody else that needs it. As long as my boss approves.

haha. Reading everyone's posts makes me remember my first trackday. The night before I absolutely could NOT sleep. I was excited, nervous, and scared of hurting my bike (didn't really have much concern for hurting myself, though). All night long I was thinking about how difficult it's going to be. The next morning I think I woke up before the alarm went off (after getting about 2hrs sleep I think it was). We loaded up our stuff, got some breakfast that I could only barely eat because of my nerves and excitement. When we got there, the nerves subsided a lot and the excitement took over. When the call came to roll out I was the last one out there I think. haha. Once I was out there and saw the track, and felt the bike on the track, and thought about everything the instructors had pointed out to do, it was just like "ok, so this is how it goes" and suddenly I was having FUN, albeit slow fun lol. I rode within my confort zone and followed some instructors for a while and had a blast and didn't wad my bike up in a ditch! At first, every corner I went into I was saying "oh SH*T, oh T" in my helmet. After that first session I couldn't keep the smile off of my face! You ladies are going to get it. Take your time.

This saturday, for those riding, on top of the suggestions mentioned before this I would offer you a few goals for the day:

1. Relax your death-grip on the handlebars and have fun. BREATHE
2. ASK FOR HELP and then listen and apply what the instructors tell you.
3. Look through the corners and NOT down in front of you and NOT behind you.
4.Take the bike home as shiny as it was when you brought it (do this by not riding over your head no matter how many people pass you.)
