State inspection price goes up $2 tomorrow!

FYI, everyone...

i just got word that the price of a non-emmisions (motorcycle) state inspection is going up by two bucks.

state inspections should now be $14.50 no matter where you go (as far as i know) unless its an out of state, which should still be a $1 more.

the reason they are going up is to pay for new computers that are being used to log the inspections. im not sure what other changes may happen due to computers being used for inspections, but if your legit there should be no need to worry.

just wanted to give everyone a heads up. duece.

incorrect sir, but close. prices gone up because of new computer system the state is using to sell the Inspection station stickers now. Before we go to the DPS (main inspection station) to reload on stickers.....now we must order by computer. They are replacing workers with computers....and still charging us MORE!!!

my shop has an inspection station....and i'm the inspector as well, here's the new prices i'm told to post up on a sign somewhere.

new prices are as follows...
  1. Emissions vehicles - $39.75 (was $39.50)
  2. Safety only vehicles - $14.50 (was $12.50)
  3. Motorcycles/Trailers - $14.50 (was $12.50)
  4. Out of state form - still $1.00
  5. Emissions only - $29.75 *you will probably never get or see this sticker*
