KTM breaks personal production record for 2014
Milestone 1190 Adventure rolls off the assembly line in Mattighofen
KTM has broken its personal production record having manufactured more than 100,000 motorcycles at the main factory in Mattighofen in one year.
According to the Austrian firm, the 100,000th motorcycle - a 2015 1190 Adventure - rolled off the assembly line at precisely 9am on Tuesday.
The board of directors and workers at the factory posed with the bike, holding a placard that celebrates the milestone achievement, along with another that reads ‘Made in Austria’.
KTM said: ‘Since 1999, when the production was started, more than 1.2 million vehicles, manufactured according to the “READY TO RACE” philosophy, have left the Mattighofen based factory!’
Honda recently celebrated the manufacture of its 300-millionth machine, followed by Ducati celebrating its millionth machine rolling off the Borgo Panigale production line.
