New rider from Pearland

I just bought a used TU250X and rode about 300 miles around town so far. It looks like most people here are sport bike riders. I really like the nakeds. What do you think about the upcoming Ducati Scrambler? I think it'll be a good second bike after I get more experience.

Welcome and all that funky jazz.

So far, only naked I've *really* liked is the 2015 Kawasaki Z250... Wish they'd make a Z650 and bring it to the States.

Welcome....

I am not big into the naked bikes, but if I got one it would be the MV Brutale Dragster...bad bike.

I do like the Ducati Scrambler. Cool retro style look. Thinking of getting the wife one.

Welcome!
I like the naked thing too. Maybe that's because when I started riding, all bikes were nakeds, lol.
If you get a scrambler, PM me, I wanna see it. I think they're cool lookin.

Welcome-from Pearland also. I rented a 600 naked kawi in Switzerland a couple of months ago and really enjoyed it. It felt so much lighter than my ZX6

Thanks all for the welcome. Another reason I'm digging the Scrambler because it can do some light off roading without looking like a dirt bike like the supermotos. I'm also looking at the Yamaha FZ-07 as a possible second bike. Again, thinking of purchasing when I get more experience, possibly next summer.

Does anyone know any good roads in or near Pearland for a new rider? So far I've just been cruising around town, in the neighborhoods and in parking lots practicing slow speed maneuvers.

Depnds on how you define "good". lol

Quiet backroads to get used to higher speeds?
Miles and miles to the south. All around Manvel and Alvin. Expect to to get lost, ha, which is part of the adventure.

Twisty?
There's a couple, I'll take you to one when your ready but I won't tell you where it is.
