Supermoto Needs Corner Workers

The AMA Supermoto Championship is coming to Grand Sport Speedway near Galveston in November and needs 25 - 30 corner workers.

Hello my name is Tad Cusack with "Speed Events, Inc.". I'm letting you know about our race in Galveston on November 2nd & 3rd, the "Armadillo Supermoto", round #9 of the AMA Supermoto Championship at the new Grand Sport Speedway.

We are in need of some help from corner workers, 25 to 30, and wondered if you all from the CMRA could lend some to the cause.

Here is the basic information:

Name: The Armadillo Supermoto, by Speed Events
When: November 2-4, 2007
Where: Grand Sport Speedway, Galveston, TX
Accomodations: Camping at the speedway, local hotels
Needs: 25-30 cornerworkers

Here are our links to the co. and race.

So...
track will be ready by latest November, huh?
Good to know that.
If I get to do one or two trackdays at GSS this year, I'm not complaining.

Yeah they had to switch builders 4 weeks ago and brought in an engineer to get it done right and in a timely manner. The fly ash should be about settled by now and then the asphalt can go down but we will see....

Im sorry but I was not the least bit impressed. I went and helped build tire walls, first day I was like WTF but I kept the faith and went back the second day. They are trying to build a first class race track but all I saw was penny pinching.

We were there to build tire walls and they wanted one of the other guys to go home and get his generator so they could use it, you want to build a race track and dont even have a gen. Tire straps, we ran out of those and they did not even know where to buy more, when I say we were short, I mean by thousands of feet.

Please don't take it the wrong way, I am glad they are building it and I can't wait to ride out there myself and check it out but they got along ways to go yet and better pick up the pace.
