I remember being off of Goodnight Trail when the first two 88' GSXR750's pulled up. Kenny that use to work at Northwest Honda was on one. A few weeks later they were all over the place.

Personally, I don't get paying top dollar for vintage bikes. I appreciate the nostalgia factor and the rarity/exclusivity angle... but it is still a 30yr old bike you can't find parts for. May be if you are a museum curator, or have money bleeding out of your nostrils trying to fill your 18-car garage... okay. Or... live in Cuba? Understood.

Keep looking into the past... sooner or later the past will catch up to your present.

Just another toy, you know about toys! Lol

I'm sure I saw you there just did not know you. Rankin and BW8 use to be big time race spots. I raced a guy one street over from Goodnight trail. He was on a Hurricane 600 and never lifted and hit the deadend curb at 120+. He was in bad shape. He lived in the apartments one street over and forgot that the road ended at Hardy. Luckily he survived.

I also used to frequent goodnight trail and rankin back in the mid 90s. I was there at the big bust with the "city under siege" Fox 26 crews there..

Some great racing back in those days, I was racing cars there then tho..not bikes..

I still have some cool rankin pics laying around for another thread..

My TLR looked that good when I first got it, then I took to the track. If I have any regrets it is not putting track body work on it before the first crash, and then the second.
