Jacksonville drew first blood when its quarterback Blake Bortles connected with Allen Hurns on a 4-yard touchdown with 3:39 left in the first quarter.

On the Texans' ensuing possession, running back Arian Foster broke off a 51-yard rush that led to a 44-yard field goal by Houston kicker Randy Bullock with 1:22 left in the first quarter.
