I helped a guy fix that problem at TWS (Texas World Speedway) during a track day. Scary as .

The brake lever doesn't let the master cylinder release all the way. Bad news.

It didn't lock up on him though. Every time he used the front brake, it would cause more and more drag. He knew something was wrong and came in.

Dude! I had that happen when I bought new ASV levers for the buell. Luckily I started hearing the motor bog and got it shut down before it completely locked up. I'm convinced I wouldn't be here if it happened on the freeway at speed. It happened so fast. Called the place where I bought them and they said "Oh, well it must be these levers instead". ! Could have told me, these might be it ride it around slowly for a few miles or something.

Well with me there are 2 levers that will fit. The difference between the two is the length of the piece that pushes the plunger in. One is slightly longer than the other and the longer one is the one he sold me. What happened was, it's just long enough the it keeps the plunger in just far enough to keep it from releasing and the vibration on the motor pumps the brakes up and eventually locking the wheel. It's actually common I found out. Google it..
