Why do cagers hate it when you lane split???

So I'm heading home after a great day working at the VA and our Clearlake office and I split the lanes near Twin peaks in clear lake. The light changes and this douche try's to run me down when I can't get through traffic.

Why is it because I was two cars ahead of him. He's a vet I'm a vet I had my POW jacket on.

I have a feeling if I would flipped him off he would have run me down.

Crazy right?

Does this happen often?
Thanks brothers and sisters.

I see it all of the time, and I used to be "that" guy years ago until I started riding and understood. The only reason these people are mad is because you are moving through traffic and they have to wait. That's it, period. They could give two if you're breaking a traffic law, that's just a very convenient excuse for them to use in an argument.

Unless they do something stupid with their jealousy and rage. Then it's the lane splitter that gets .

Correct , thats why when i was lane splitting on Monday, i was going 10 mph, that way in case of some fucktard getting stupid, i can stop instantly and then back up 2 ft and keep going

Why were you lane splitting?
Do you embezzle funds at the VA?
Do you shoplift?
Do you get gas and drive off?
Do you grab a handful of grapes at Wal-China?
Do you expose yourself to kids on a school bus?
Do you throw your McDonald's bag out the window?

You have a valid point, no argument there. I highly doubt the ones that express their frustration break traffic laws on a daily basis themselves. Stems mostly from jealousy IMO That and the idiots that split cars at 70+ mph or split down stopped traffic at an excessive rate of speed. They bruise the image for the rest of us.

Bottom line is everything will have it's haters including motorcycling, Heavy Metal, Rap, Hot Rods, paid college athletes, riots etc.

Either sit in line or split. If you split accept the possible consequences, but in the mean time reap the rewards.

People think your an if you go into Wal-China and take grapes from the open bags and eat them. It's illegal. I get totally off when parents let their kid fkuc up the entire desert area at Golden Coral and I don't even eat desert.
Do you think the dumbass cager would have done anything if the "jerk biker" (or other names doled out to us riders) would have just stayed in his lane like he is REQUIRED to by law?

I don't get why this topic keeps coming up and people act so surprised.
What is it about lane spitting that gets into the blood of riders to the point where they just can't control themselves? Why is it that riders think it's ok to blatantly break a law (that's about as minor as stealing grapes) by lane splitting, but yet they get all bent out of shape and try to push it of on the cagers as being an ?

While I think it annoys people when others do things like steal grapes or Lane split, that's not what drives them to act.
It's jealousy.
There is a part of them that says, "Hey! I aint gettin free grapes, why should he? I don't get to move in this traffic, why should he?".
So, being the little they are, they stomp off and tell the store manager, "that guy style grapes" or they pull into the lane to block the splitter.

Only because you don't work at the VA so you can't embezzle?

Well, I'm just wondering if it's in our DNA as riders. I don't lane split, but when I go to work in the morning, there's rarely any traffic on the on-ramp to 45. Of course it's illegal but I power whoolie like 773H and hit the freeway at about 120......

So- is it the same irresistable force that makes us like Eve and we just GOTTA TAKE A BITE OF THAT APPLE!!!??? The itch that just has to be scratched??

So breaking the law is only OK when there's no traffic?

Agreed - I reported a woman for steeling 89 cent bottle of karo syrup once. It's like standing in line at Six Flags. They throw line jumpers out, but that's still based on the viewpoint of the other person that's been waiting in line.

I want to know what it is in "OUR" brain that makes us just "gotta lane split". Because actually, I want to do it at almost every light I'm at, only I don't. What is the feeling that us riders get that makes this law ignorable in our minds?
